New Artist Alert: Brisco (Sorta)

My new favorite rapper! Well not really but, there is something about his voice that just makes me smile and he's not bad on the eyes either. I first heard him on Wayne's song Lala off the Carter III but ever since then, I've wanted more of that voice... So I found it. On his Myspace page. And I was pleasantly surprised.


But after Googling him, I found videos. Even his Wikipedia page was deleted!!! Are you SERIOUS? Well, from what I know, he's signed with Cash Money Records, he's the Opa Locka Goon. Opa Locka is a city in Florida, I'm guessing where he's from. He mentions Opa Locka in many of his songs.

Guess Who's Pregnant???

Our fashion guru, go to girl, reality TV star, model, mommy, designer, Kimora Lee Simmons is officially pregnant!

According to New York Post's Page Six, Kiki is pregnant by her fiance, Djimon Hounsou. I'm excited!!! I love KLS and I am so proud that she is another biracial woman that identifies herself as black!!! Go on girl...

Kimora already has two children from her previous marriage to music mogul Russell Simmons, Aoki Lee and Ming Lee


I wonder how long before Baby Phat/KLS Fashions comes out with a maternity line?

Lil Wayne's Rebirth

Our favorite rapper has a new album hitting stores April 7th. Lil Wayne is coming again with The Rebirth. I don't know if I like the first single, Prom Queen. You can find it here at Big Boy Radio. According to MTV it is a Rock LP.

MTV also said that Prom Queen would be released on the internet right after a live stream video of Wayne's concert in Sand Diego tomorrow, the 27th, which will be available on Myspace. However, I found the song two days in advance and I doubt it will be removed but if you want to hear it and can't, let me know, and we can maybe work something out...


The rationale behind why Wayne is not calling his next album The Carter IV? Because he wants his fans to get the Carter IV they want, not rock. So don't worry all you Wayneheads, The Carter IV is still coming.

The Violence Has Got To Stop!!!

So this will probably be one of maybe three from this series. I just had a thought, for all the violence entries, I'm going to title them, and add a number to them. To see how many I'll write about in 2009.

Let's start with Nova Henry. Name sound familiar? Well to a nine month old girl, Ava, and to a three year old son, the names are too familiar. Nova Henry, 24, was found dead in her home Saturday January 24th. Her family knew something was wrong after she didn't show at her grandmother's funeral. Her Grandmother! Her daughter Ava was also shot to death in the home. Nova's three year old son was not harmed but was found in the home.

Now, riddle me this. Who could shoot a child? Are you kidding me? I mean, it's one thing to kill a child period but when you are able to point a gun at a child.... That's just sick! And the fact Ava was only nine months is absolutely ridiculous! The baby could not have done anything to her killer but hurt their ears TEMPORARILY!!! Now the three year old is left without a mother and a sister and reports are not saying whether or not he saw the deaths of his family.


He could be traumatized for life. Now, how this story got so big, so fast. Nova Henry was the mother of Eddie Curry's, current NBA New York Knick's player, three year old son. Yes, the one who was found alive in the house, unharmed. The young boy was found with blood soiled clothes on from apparently trying to get his mother to wake. The police are trying to ask him questions with the help of a Child Psychologist.

If I would have heard Eddy Curry two weeks ago, I wouldn't have known who he was. But he has been on some stations with a sexual harrassment suit out on him, get this, from his former MALE chauffer!!! You can read more about that in the next post!

But anywho, Nova Henry's former boyfriend is now a suspect. He was arrested and taken into custody in Michigan City, Indiana. Now, this dude was also her former attorney. But, she did have a protection order against him filed in 2007. A spokeswoman for the Chicago Police Department said she could neither confirm nor deny the arrest of the ex-boyfriend.

I just want to know why. Why on Earth would he feel he had to kill a woman and her baby? Why?

This man is an absolute genius!!! I don't care what people may say when it comes to Ye but I love this man.

He has infiltrated the fashion industry. Many may say, all rappers have a clothing line, or all rappers have been in the fashion industry! But no one, NO RAPPER has been able to design a shoe for the Louis Vuitton company and it be in the show??? Are you SERIOUS (In the words of Neffe) but really, he is phenomenal.

Had a set back when his mother passed but it only made him stronger. People have been doubting Kanye even before he WAS the Kanye West the world knows but he still made it! I've loved every album he's had. Even The Graduation Mixtape! This man is sick when it comes to music.

I'll never forget his MTV Diary and he was showing a picture he had done and how it was actually a beat! WHAT? If that's not talent, I don't know what it is.

I've been a little laxed on my writing but for some reason Mr. West, or excuse me, Martin Louis The King, Jr., as he will be called from now on, always seems to inspire me!

Not Obama, not Beyonce, not Jay Z, not Wendy Williams, but Obama. So, I'm about to go ahead and hit yall with about ten blogs today! I'm not leaving the computer until I do!!! lol
