Poor Black Men

When did it happen? Why did it happen? Who allowed it to even begin? Where did it adapt from? How will it end? Those questions all come from the topic of black men's laziness.

I am so fed up with black men thinking everything is going to be handed to them. Or waiting, worrying about when their break is going to happen. You cannot sit back, simply sitting on your butt thinking things are going to get better. No, its not going to happen. Nothing has ever fell into my lap when I was sitting there waiting on it! I had to get up, most times walk or get on the bus, to get what I needed.

In life, I've come up with the mindset, if I cannot get it myself, I don't need it. And it goes as deep as, if I need some scissors, I won't ask you because I should have been prepared. A rough way to look at things, but I'm being serious. Now, I've never understood why black men, act as if they deserve something. Like if it wasn't given to them, they don't want it.

Yes, it is true that black males are pursuing college degrees at higher rates than before however, what are you doing with them. It makes no sense to get a degree in something that you don't even want to do! What type of sense does that make? Why go through four or five years of schooling and end up miserable? End up sitting at home, looking at the walls wondering what next?

And don't say its the economy! You were sitting on your behind way before the economy's decline was MADE public! You weren't looking then and you're not looking now! Don't say, there are no jobs out there. It's just jobs you don't want to do. And beggars can't be choosy.

You can get benefits working at McDonald's... Trust me, I know. But you wouldn't do that. You wouldn't look in the newspaper on Sundays in the career section for a side job. No you'd rather complain. That's sad. A sad case.

For those of you doing something LEGAL, with or without a degree KUDOS! Set an example for those who depend on the sky for their future. A pet peeve of mine is when people, not black talk about us. It annoys me to my core. My ears turn red when I hear whites, especially, talk about what our problem is. Or what we are doing wrong. But sometimes, its like they're right so how do I defend the truth?

And people get so mad when someone of another race says something about your race, but if no one, of the race, is saying anything to acknowledge the problem, then who is to blame?

I refuse to paralyze any man and work myself to death to provide for my home because he doesn't want to. Be it my father, brother, uncle, cousin, husband, or son. It won't happen. A man takes care of his home. But at the rate the current state of men are today, either he won't have a home to care for or, it will be one deprived of many basic necessities. But, I'm done ranting. Just know I'm mad!

This entry is not directed at anyone, however COMMA ( I love saying that) if you feel some type of way about it, comment, stand up for yourself... This is just how I feel about some dudes I've came in contact with or heard about.

So I absolutely love Jeezy. There's always been something about his voice, his music, his look (even when he was plus size) that had me loving him. Then he went and came out with the Recession that made me want to pull a Keyshia Cole and propose but I didn't. I just kept my infatuation underwraps.

He went and did this to me! Now when I say Jay Jenkins can clean up nice, I mean it! A moment of silence for the sexiness that is Mr. Jenkins...

Chris Brown & Rihanna

The two all smiles pre-drama!


So for the past year or so, Rihanna and Chris Brown have been on the couple watch. They are always together but never say anything. Then it pops up that they have matching tattoos, pictures surface of Rih-Rih spending holidays in VA, and random shots of the couple sharing kissy faces at industry parties. But nothing, I repeat, nothing could have prepared me for the Chris Brown beatdown news that I got this morning.

So yesterday, during E!'s red carpet I heard them say Rihanna would not be performing. Then I heard, someone say they were in search of Chris Brown. So I just let it go. I am really serious when it comes to gossip. I feel if I didn't hear it, it didn't happen and yes, I am Oh so SERIOUS! Anyhoo, while watching the awards last night, something hit me. Rihanna in the hospital. Searching for Chris Breezy. HE DID SOMETHING TO HER! I promise, I put it on my life, that's what I said aloud to my aunt.

Sure enough, morning routine, check gossip sites. First spill, Chris Brown turns himself in for felony battery charges! WTHeck? So their relationship is not all its cracked up to be I guess.


The last time Rihanna was seen was at Clive Davis' annual Pre-Grammy party. They left and, according to reports, got into an argument that got serious, which left her in the hospital and him on the run.

Chris Brown turned himself in to an LAPD precinct and is out on $50,000 bail. What was he thinking to where he had to harm the girl? What did she say or do to push his buttons? Will she come out later and say it was overexaggerated and stand by her man?

Now, Rihanna and Chris Brown were both suppossed to perform last night however, their performances were axe'd and replaced with a random Al Green tribute and BB King, John Mayer, Keith Urban (I THINK), and some other dude playing the guitar on stage, for NO REASON! But I digress, I hope she's okay.

And I know this is sad but this is only speaking as a gossip nut, I want to know what happened!

So I watched some of the Grammy's Red Carpet on E! and then I just started talking to friends, eating, washing dishes, and doing other stuff of more importance, I guess. But yeah. The stuff I didn't get to see, I figured I'd grab it off the internet this morning and share... So here goes.
